M(other) (2022)

In M(other), Melissa captures the shifting line between mother and daughter where one identity blurs into the other, and individuality begins to emerge. The figure, poised in motion and shadow, appears both grounded and dissolving, as if caught in the act of remembering and releasing at once. Drawn in urgent charcoal and softened by paint, the work speaks to inheritance, love, and the quiet ache of becoming one’s own woman.

Limited Edition Prints

I’ve always wanted to make my paintings available in a form that people can live with - a way to share a piece of art with anyone who feels connected to it. Each painting in my body of work has its own energy, and I love the idea that it can live on beyond the original - that it can travel, find new homes, and be experienced again and again.

For this reason, I’m creating a very limited edition set of archival fine art prints for each work. Every print is professionally produced by Silverstone Printing Company in Johannesburg, one of the finest art printers in South Africa, using museum-grade inks and paper for lasting quality.

Each piece is hand-signed and editioned by me, ensuring its authenticity. These prints are made to be both affordable and collectible - a living archive of my paintings, made to bring art, colour, and meaning into more homes.
