Description
Cabbage Roses at Home (2024) Print
From the Fierce Blooms series
Painted in summer, Cabbage Roses at Home marks a moment of the purest joy. A full heart and and the love energy of being surrounded by one's family. These bold cabbage roses were gifted during the first season after the birth of the artist’s son.
The cabbage roses are not delicately rendered, they are layered and emotionally charged. Pink, coral, and acid lime pulse against lavender-grey and milky turquoise. The blooms loosen beneath sweeping gestural lines. Black marks anchor the base like roots, while cobalt tracings move across the surface like breath. Paint drips and bleeds, resisting containment. A living portrait of a family bursting with unruly life. An emblem of hope and gathering.
Limited Edition Prints
I’ve always wanted to make my paintings available in a form that people can live with - a way to share a piece of art with anyone who feels connected to it. Each painting in my body of work has its own energy, and I love the idea that it can live on beyond the original. A Piece that can travel, find new homes, and be experienced again and again.
For this reason, I’m creating a very limited edition set of archival fine art prints for each work. Every print is professionally produced by Silverstone Printing Company in Johannesburg, one of the finest art printers in South Africa, using museum-grade inks and paper for lasting quality.
Each piece is hand-signed and editioned by me, ensuring its authenticity. These prints are made to be both affordable and collectible - a living archive of my paintings, made to bring art, colour, and meaning into more homes.
